"The truth of economic growth"/ Këlliçi: Latest in the

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted on social media regarding an article about salaries in our country.

Këlliçi writes that compared to countries in the region, Albania ranks last in terms of citizen income and has the lowest purchasing power.

According to him, these two figures show that there is no real economic growth. Among other things, he adds, Albania has higher levels of propaganda and corruption than other countries in the region.

Monitor magazine has conducted research that refutes the thesis that Edi Rama has been trumpeting recently, that there is economic growth and this means there is no corruption.

Compared to the countries in the region, we are still last in terms of citizen income and have the lowest purchasing power. These two data show that there is no real economic growth.

Those figures that Edi Rama boasts about have to do with the expansion of employment in the administration. So the increase in patronage workers who are paid to like and share, to pressure for votes, is not actually added value in the economy.

Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia have significantly higher average wages, and according to policies to boost sectors of the economy and create jobs.

The neighbors have average salaries 30 to 50 percent higher than in Albania and the purchasing power of their citizens is equally greater. It is not for nothing that thousands of fellow citizens travel across the border every day to get cheaper fuel and to buy cheaper food.

Compared to the region, perhaps we have only one thing higher, the propaganda and lies of the Prime Minister. Of course, also the corruption and criminal connections of the government. / CNA
