Parliament meets in plenary session, draft laws and investigative committees on

The Parliament of Albania will hold its plenary session according to order no. 23, dated 7.4.2026, of the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi.

The session will begin with the approval of the minutes of April 2 and various announcements. Afterwards, the agenda includes an interpellation with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, requested by MP Erion Braçe.

Also, a question-and-answer session will be held with the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, at the request of MP Erisa Xhixho.

The session will also focus on several important draft laws. Deputies will consider an amendment to the law on tourist ports, as well as changes to the law on the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

Also on the agenda are two draft decisions to establish parliamentary investigative committees. One relates to the control of the legality of the actions of the Albanian Road Authority in road investments, while the other to the functioning of the National Agency for the Information Society, including cybersecurity and data protection.

The session also includes voting for the election of a member of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania.

Finally, MPs will have space for discussions outside the agenda, with limited time according to the Assembly's regulations.

Agenda

In accordance with order no. 23, dated 7.4.2026 of the President of the Assembly, Mr. Niko Peleshi, the agenda is as follows:

1. Approval of the minutes of the plenary session of 2.4.2026. (Article 44, point 2, of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly)

2. Announcements. (Article 44, point 3, of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly)

3. Interpellation with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Andis Salla, requested by MP Erion Braçe. (In accordance with Article 80 of the Constitution and Article 96 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly)

4. Question and answer session with the Minister of Education, Ms. Mirela Kumbaro, requested by MP Erisa Xhixho. (In accordance with Article 80 of the Constitution and Articles 90 - 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly)

5. Draft law “On an amendment to law no. 9710, dated 10.4.2007 “On tourist ports in the Republic of Albania”, as amended”.
