A court hearing is taking place at the Supreme Court before the Joint Panels to review the interim decision of Sokol Sadushi.
Prosecutor Arqiela Koça, during the session, emphasized that the 2017 amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code reflect best European practices for respecting human rights and freedoms.
He underlined that, however, alternative security measures in the Albanian reality often become unworkable, emphasizing the need for the effective implementation of security measures that guarantee order and protection of society.
The court is expected to make the final decision after reviewing the arguments of the prosecution and defense on the application of the measures and their compliance with European law and practices./ CNA
