The High Court has dismissed the appeal of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku against the security measure imposed on her. As a result, the travel ban and the blocking of her passport remain in force.
The measures against Balluk were imposed by the GJKKO at the request of the Special Prosecution Office, within the framework of the ongoing investigations against her in relation to the tender procedures for the Llogara tunnel and the Unaza e Madhe project. She is accused of "violation of equality in tenders".
It is reported that the Supreme Court has also rejected the appeal of the former head of the Albanian Anti-Corruption Agency, Erald Elezit, leaving the "house arrest" measure in force.
Elezi is also a defendant in the tender procedures for the Llogara tunnel and lot no. 4 of the Tirana Ring Road. /CNA
