"The construction sector has transformed Albania"/ Rama: It is unacceptable that they link it to crime
Prime Minister Edi Rama participated today in a conversati...

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech at the meeting with entrepreneurs, stated that from the constructions, the municipality of Tirana and every other municipality gains nurseries, kindergartens and schools.
From the taxes on these constructions, Rama said that 3% goes to the housing fund of the municipality where the construction is being carried out. He also said that for those who say that the constructions are financed by crime, most of the apartments are ordered by the diaspora and payment is made by bank and not in cash.
"There are some facts to analyze just from this project before work has even begun. The Municipality of Tirana has received 14 million euros in taxes. 14 million euros is a considerable amount, while from this project, when it becomes a reality, the city will gain kindergartens, kindergartens, and in the meantime, the Municipality of Tirana may also gain a school, since the investor's commitment is to build the school at the moment the land is given to build it. In 14 million euros, the part that goes to 3% for housing. So whoever invests in these projects invests for added value. These apartments cannot be bought by a poor person or a person who lives on a low or average salary, but from the construction of this apartment, the Municipality of Tirana and the municipalities that build such apartments receive a tax that is 3% for the housing fund.
"For all those who bark in every language, who bark from Albanian to English, and immediately describe the transformation in Tirana as the transformation of crime, this project has 350 apartments ordered by the Albanian diaspora that are ordered and not paid for in cash but by bank transfer. 350 apartments are ¼ of the apartments that this entire large complex will have and are ordered and contracted today. This is why we are trying to show you by going there ourselves what the reality is of an increasingly long chain of hacks of an economy that grows sustainably, unlike what is said in the media pots that you dare not open the lid because the steam of the boiling sludge is coming ," he said.
Among other things, the head of government has described construction in Tirana and beyond as a contributing factor on the path to integration. According to him, this sector is criticized and attacked only by those who do not want to accept Albania's success.
"These constructions are proof of the ambition that Albania has for its transformation. All kinds of theories that at the end of the day have nothing to do with anyone but the capacity to not accept Albania's success. You may not agree with the government and fight it, but how can you not accept success when you see the work done. All this that is happening in the construction sector gives us wings to move faster on the path to membership. To become part of the EU faster. Membership is not a certificate but a transformation process. That is why those who talk today about an Albania caught by the throat by corruption are caught by the throat by anger at success. They find it impossible to find the strength to accept someone else's success. Corruption cannot increase when you pay 14 million euros in taxes. When corruption was higher, you paid less taxes. The percentage of taxes is in the hands of those who govern. Yes, 14 million euros in taxes do not go with corruption. Income "They don't grow from rain but from taxes. If the state treasury has more income, then there is less corruption ," Rama said. /CNA
