Movements for Easter celebrations/Flux in Kapshtica, the Albanian side adds

The influx begins at the Kapshtica border crossing point, as many Albanian citizens are returning to Albania to spend Orthodox Easter celebrations with their families.

According to information from Albanian authorities, counters have been added to this customs office as a measure taken to cope with the situation.

Currently, 5 counters are operating at the entrance to the Albanian territory, while 1 at the exit. The largest flow has been recorded at the entrance, while the Albanian side has managed to avoid the creation of long queues and waits thanks to the maximum opening of the counters.

The situation is different on the Greek side, where according to passengers, waits have been up to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation, as they emphasize that the flow will continue to increase in the coming days. /CNA
