Charles McGonigal, repentance and confessions for the charges / Criminal

Former FBI official Charles McGonigal pleaded guilty to one of the charges brought against him on Tuesday.

McGonigal confessed in court that he collaborated with Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, known as a friend of President Vladimir Putin.

He has stated that he provided Deripaska with intimidating information about the Russian oligarch Vladimir Potanin, whom he had competed with in business.

Charles McGonigal showed remorse in court, while he is expected to do the same for the charges brought against him in relation to the Albanian-American businessman Agron Neza.

As in the case of the Russian oligarch, the former FBI official may also repent in the case of the investigation into the money received from Neza and confess.

If this happens, the federal prosecutor in Washington will launch a criminal investigation against Agron Neza.
