This Tuesday, protests were held in Pristina and Skopje in support of Dritan Goxhaj.
Citizens with placards in their hands demand the release of the former KLA fighter.
"We demand the immediate release of the former KLA fighter, Dritan Goxhaj", reads one placard.
"We ask the Albanian state not to execute the order of the Special Court of Kosovo in The Hague", another banner reads.
The arrest of Dritan Goxhaj:
On July 31, the Albanian authorities arrested in Tirana the former soldier of the KLA, Dritan Goxhaj, on behalf of the Special Court of Kosovo, which had declared him wanted.
The Special Court of Kosovo accuses Goxhaj of releasing the names of witnesses in several cases previously opened by the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo.
His arrest is aimed at extradition to the Specialized Chambers.
The Civic Forum defended Dritan Goxhaj's case and created an online petition. Even the "Krahu i Shciponja" group has sided with the former KLA fighter./ CNA
