37 migrants are rescued/ They tried to cross into Greek waters

37 illegal immigrants who were traveling in 3 rafts, have been saved from danger.

They were trying to cross into Greek waters.

The news was made known by the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, through a post on social networks where he talked about the three SAR operations where it became possible to save the immigrants.

"During last night, the ship "Butrinti", part of the "Sea Guardian" mission in the Aegean Sea, again successfully carried out three SAR operations.  

3 rafts with 37 illegal immigrants have been saved from danger, trying to cross Greek waters. Fortunately, everyone is in good health. 

Illegal crossing in the Aegean Sea is a big challenge, not only for the NATO Alliance, but also for transit countries that have to cope with a continuous flow of illegal immigrants.

We believe that only through cooperation, we can address this challenge and guarantee the life and safety of all those involved in such situations."/ CNA
