Lulzim Basha’s failure and insult to the Student Movement

The incumbent chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha continues to state that he has the support of the majority of the DP membership. In a media interview on tuesday, Basha said he has the support of 85 per cent of the membership.

But how much they support the democrat Basha, this was seen very clearly today on December 8, the National Youth Day. On the occasion of Youth Day, which commemorates the Student Movement that overthrew the communist dictatorship in 1990, Basha organized an event at ArTurbina, the theater built by his ?ally? in government, Edi Rama, to replace the National Theater.

Which is actually an insult to the democrats. But beyond this insult to the democrats, is the fact that Lulzim Basha remembered almost alone the Student Movement. Lonely and more abandoned than ever, Basha tries to deceive again the democrats.

Basha stated yesterday that he has the support of 85 percent of the DP membership, but where were Basha?s supporters today? Who will attend the Assembly that he?s claim to hold on December 18? With Preç Zogaj, Fitim Zekthi, Grida Duma, Ervin Salianji and some other servile that comes around him?

While Lulzim Basha gathered in a closed hall, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha commemorated the Student Movement, exactly where it started, in Democracy Square in Student City, where it was received with enthusiasm and numerous cheers.

Present at this ceremony were contemporaries of Azem Hajdari, former students of december 1990, but also current students. Also, the family of Azem Hajdari, Fatmira Hajdari and Azemi the little one, were today by Berisha?s side to commemorate the Movement that brought political pluralism to Albania. While Basha?s activity, locked in a hall, clearly showed the failure of the incumbent leader of the Democratic Party./CNA.al
