The three Ministers of Interior of Lulzim Basha

Ahead of the April 25 parliamentary elections, several names were circulating from the opposition as candidates for Interior Minister. Somewhere ironically, and somewhere referring to the voices in the corridors of the opposition coalition DP-SMI, CNA.al published the names of those who could lead this ministry in case of victory in the elections.

Many of them were ridiculous candidacies and the object of humor. But, apparently beyond irony, today at the moment when the two great opposition forces are clashing with each other, the truth turns out to be exactly as we have said as the media.

The first name that was rumored as Minister of Interior is Monika Kryemadhi. It is normal for the SMI to seek an important ministerial post. Maybe the Ministry of Interior and the post of Deputy Prime Minister, as Ilir Meta once held, but also the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs or of Economy and Energy.

The SMI was the main ally in government, and the Democratic Party hoped to come to power through the flow of votes from the left. But Edi Rama understood this strategy, and hit hard this political force, which couldn?t secure more than 4 seats.

Although he received almost 110.000 votes, in some constituencies he couldn?t win a mandate for a few votes others. Monika Kryemadhi, but also Meta and others declared in confidence that with the coming to power of the opposition, the SMI would minimally take over the Ministry of Interior, and Kryemadhi would be one of the main names that would lead it.

But that didn?t happen, as the opposition lost. Meanwhile, after the internal debates, has emerged the second name that claimed to be the Minister of Interior. It was Gazment Bardhi. It was the SMI itself that accused Bardhi of reaching an agreement with the gangs, promising them that he would be Interior Minister after the April 25 elections.

In fact, this thesis was often heard in the corridors of the opposition. Gazmend Bardhi has often been accused of having meetings with people from underground world in Elbasan, and promised guarantee to them as Minister of the Interior. This is confirmed today by the political accusations, but also the voices within the DP.

But Bardhi was not the only contender. The other contender within the DP is Ervin Salianji, otherwise known as ?Babalja?, convicted by the court as a fraudster for a shameful scenario where the opposition failed with shame.

Ervin Salianji is a figure with many scandals. And during the last election campaign, it turns out that he met with elements of the underground world, to whom he stated that he would soon be the new Minister of Interior. This is confirmed by many people in Korça.

Many of the people in his electoral staff believed the lies that Ervin Salianji was telling him. These are the three names that Lulzim Basha would have as possible candidates to be appointed to the post of Minister of Interior. If we had a victory for the opposition, Kryemadhi would easily beat the two ?little boys? of Lulzim Basha.

Meanwhile, if he had to choose between the two, it is understood that Basha would have preferred Gazment Bardhi. Salianji would be only object of bargaining between Grida Duma and Lulzim Basha, for a post that the latter would take./CNA.al
