CNA.al warned/ Edi Rama government with a new face

Next week brings politics back to the stage after the summer holidays. Prime Minister Edi Rama stated yesterday that next week he is expected to announce the names of the new government cabinet.

As CNA.al had warned, it seems that September will bring ?surprises? in terms of the new governing cabinet, and apparently ?Rama 3? will have quite a few new faces. A few days ago, CNA.al warned that some about half of the current government cabinet will not be part of the governing team in September.

And that moves are expected from the post of Deputy Prime Minister, to the Ministry of Agriculture, Culture, Tourism, etc. The most ?loyal? names and in strong position seem Belinda Balluku, Arben Ahmetaj, Ogerta Manastirliu, Niko Peleshi and Olta Xhaçka.

In fact, it seems that even the Prime Minister Edi Rama announced yesterday these changes, and over 50 percent of the ministers will be young names. First, Deputy Prime Minister Erion Braçe will leave. He announced his ?resignation? through a post on social networks.

But CNA.al has learned that the truth seems to be different. He was fired by Prime Minister Edi Rama. Braçe didn?t sign government decisions for many weeks, while for almost 4 years he was the main person who used his pen to sign government decisions.

On the other hand, two other names that are expected to leave are the Minister of Tourism Blendi Klosi, and most likely the Minister of Education Evis Kushi. In the last meeting yesterday of the current cabinet, Rama didn?t spare criticism of the work of some ministers.

He said that this summer there were many problems with the management of garbage in tourist areas and the administration of beaches, while in the field of education he said that there is still work to be done in both pre-university and higher education, for which he stressed that ?I am not proud at all?.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Rama hinted that the ?war? ministers will remain in office.

The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi seems that will continue to be part of the cabinet. Rama publicly praised him for the battle with the fires this summer, and the excellent relations with NATO. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka was also another esteemed name by Rama.

On the other hand, Ogerta Manastriliu has been praised as a minister of ?war?, for the unstoppable battle with Covid-19, and what Rama calls victory. ?I want to thank the Minister of Health, who during 18 very difficult months embodied with high civic, political and professional dignity, the basic goal of this government, as a government of work, not only of words, but in the most conditions difficult, a government that tries with everything to be of the people, with the people and for the people?- said Rama.

Also Arben Ahmetaj, Minister of Reconstruction, who is directing the construction sites for housing thousands of families who have been left homeless after the earthquake of November 2019, seems to continue to be part of the cabinet. Even Belinda Balluku, the tireless minister who according to Edi Rama is working 24 hours for infrastructure and energy, seems to be a name that will remains part of the new government.

Meanwhile, the rest of the government is leaving, some members are in question, but sees that Rama has already decided everything. And with some small changes, is expected only the announcement of the new government next week./CNA.al
