The results of the April 25 parliamentary elections speak of a victory for the Socialist Party and Edi Rama. Three weeks before the elections, CNA.al announced not only the result, but also the behavior of the losers.

Edi Rama got a third term, after competing with a rival without a backbone like Lulzim Basha, who entered these elections with the strategy of 2017. While Rama used as a point strong management of the earthquake and pandemic situation, on the other hand Basha didn?t inspire confidence at all, repeating the same things and keeping hope in the SMI, which in these elections crumbled totally.

CNA.al warned that Basha had calculated that he could take power by securing 60 to 64 eats and the SMI 10 or 12 seats. But this account made by Lulzim Basha turned out to be a blunder. The results speak for themselves, the SMI has barely secured 4 seats and the DP 59 seats.

Lulzim Basha hoped to make an overthrow in Korça, but so far managed to get 5 seats, while SP has won 6 seats. Reversal of the result was also hoped for in Berat, while it received only 2 seats and SP 6 seats.

Elbasan was another Region, where Basha dreamed of victory. But so far the figures speak of a victory of the SP with 8 seats and waiting for the ninth, and only 6 seats for the DP. As CNA.al warned, Basha won in the north, in the regions of Kukës, Shkodër, Lezha and Dibër.

On the other hand, the Socialist Party has recovered the loss in the North in the South, such as in Vlora, Fier, Berat, Gjirokastra or Korça.

Despite these results, Basha came out yesterday, talking about victory and deep loss of SP. For him victory means the electoral growth of the DP, compared to the 2017 elections.

But in fact Lulzim Basha is a loser, who should have already made his resignation speech.

No excuses are valid anymore, as it was he himself who described the election process as very normal. Therefore, at least once, he must show that he is a man, accept the failure and leave the leadership of the Democratic Party./CNA.al
