"He was hit because he never bowed down"/ Lawyer for

Democratic Party member and lawyer Eda Grimçi has reacted to speculations that there are conversations between MP Belind Këlliçi and the former head of ARRSH, Evis Berberi.

Grimçi writes that Këllicic is not being attacked because he is at fault, but because he never bowed down and stood by the citizens during the protests in front of Tirana City Hall.  

The DP member says that the MP did not sell his cause for office or bargaining.

The lawyer further says that those who cannot control her have been sent to tarnish her.

 

 

"On behalf of all of us who have stood up, protested, been arrested, faced police violence and tear gas... I want to say to every "sponsored" megaphone this:

Slander is the refuge of the coward.

And cowards always attack those they cannot defeat.

Belind Kelliçi was not hit because he was at fault, but because he never bowed down. Because he was with the citizens when the regime was gassing us. Because he did not remain silent when they were dragging us. Because he did not sell the cause for office or bargaining.

So when I hear the slander of those who have never been among us, on the streets, among the smoke and handcuffs... I understand only one thing: they are sent to tarnish what they cannot control.

But we are the witnesses.

We know who stayed and who hid.

We know who spoke and who was paid to remain silent.

We know who has character and who lives by slander.

On behalf of every protester who looked hell in the eye and didn't back down, the slander against our cause and sacrifice doesn't scare us. It strengthens us.

Because we have seen the truth with our own eyes.
