Diaspora votes on May 11/ CEC: Counting of 67% of total ballots has been completed

The Socialist Party has asked the CEC to immediately begin counting the votes received from Greece.
The request comes after the decision of the Appeals and Sanctions Commission (KAS), which overturned the previous suspension of the counting process.
According to the KAS, the act taken by the State Election Commissioner has no legal force, as changes to the rules for voting from abroad can only be made by the CEC Regulator, with a qualified majority.
On the other hand, the DP has also addressed the CEC to ensure transparency from the postal company DHL, regarding the method of distributing and collecting envelopes with votes in Greece./ CNA
