Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa, in an interview on a television show, revealed details of the protest that the opposition will hold on Saturday, February 8, at 5:00 PM.

Zhupa said that the focus of the protest will be in front of the Prime Minister's Office and not spread out to several points in Tirana, as has happened in the past 3 protests.

Zhupa added that one of the impetuses for the protest was precisely the testimony given by former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj.

"This protest comes as a result of Ahmetaj's testimony, which showed a major part of corruption and how the criminal organization "Rilindja" steals and wastes public taxes, making citizens live poorer. Ahmetaj's testimony is one of the impetuses for the national protest. We do not give up on the demands, even for a technical government. The protest is based on mass, a national protest that will have people from all over Albania and will come to Tirana. We will not go out on some streets, but it will be held in front of the Prime Minister's Office on the "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard. We do not want to reveal the method and duration in advance, but the strong point, as I said, is the mass. You will also see a large participation from the diaspora, especially from neighboring countries that have it even easier to come", said Ina Zhupa./CNA
