Meeting with Albanians in Veria/Balla: Greece's support for the EU is very


The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, held a meeting in Northern Greece today. Balla continued his meetings as part of his tour with Albanians living abroad.


Balla met with supporters of the Socialist Party, whom he informed about how they can exercise the realized right of every Albanian outside Albania to elect the country's leadership by voting from where they live.


"We want to be able to contact all our brothers and sisters who live here in the North through you and have this process explained to them clearly."


Regarding the extension of deadlines for expired documents, Balla said:


"France has it. But there is no example in Europe where you can vote with documents from another country. Ask here. This is how a proposal that has more to do with an alibi than with a tangible reality gets an answer."


Balla further commented on the Socialist Party's approach to integration:


"The ruling Socialist Party is the only one that has opened all issues for discussion, with all Greek governments. We are negotiating the agreement on the dual recognition of pensions. Greece's support for the EU is very important and there is no doubt that it will be a great supporter", - said Balla./ CNA
