"December Movement"/ Shehu: Albania needs its revival

Democratic MP Tritan Shehu has shared a message on the occasion of December 8, Youth Day.

Through a post on social media, Shehu states that students and lecturers were the ones who lifted the country's weight, through their commitment.

According to Shehu, the "December Movement" should not only be commemorated, but it is also a necessity for the country for such a movement to be 'revived'.

“Freedom begins from the universities!      
It was the university “volcano”, students and professors who lifted the weight of Tirana and Albania.
Thus exploding in December 1990 the most clear democratic movement in the former communist countries!

— “We love Albania like all of Europe”
— Clear positioning towards NATO, the market economy, political pluralism, the complete opening of the country, human freedoms, democratic values, etc.

They were the political columns of that major movement, which paved the way in a few days for the founding of the Democratic Party!
