The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, from the hospital where the 26-year-old sexually abused by 3 boys is located, has reacted to this event that has shocked public opinion.

Balla said that the work of justice should be trusted, while he asked the journalists not to reveal the names of the accused persons.

"Today, justice in Albania needs support and to believe that justice will do its duty. Therefore, take the names of suspected persons with care because until justice is served, everyone should have the right to be presumed innocent", he said.

Asked by journalists if the girl was forcibly taken by the boys, the minister refused to comment.

"It would be my fatal mistake if I intervened to make evaluations of this nature today," declared Balla.

He again appealed to Vlora journalists not to use names.

"My appeal to the honorable journalists of Vlora is to give up using the names of others and have faith in justice. I am confident that the prosecutor's office of Vlora has evaluated this case to the maximum", the minister emphasized.

Also, Balla was asked about the threat to journalist Afrovita Hysaj by the owner of "6+1 Vlora" television, after he denounced that one of the perpetrators was hiding.

"I have no right to question the orders of the prosecution. I am the Minister of the Interior", he underlined./ CNA
