Race for DP branch leader in Pogradec/ Kaso reveals the progress of the voting

The voting process for the election of the new chairman has begun in the branch of the Democratic Party in Pogradec, where two candidates known in the local structures of this political force are in the race: Kasëm Galla and Oligert Muçllari.

The head of the Korça district, Ivi Kaso, stated in a media statement that the voting process continued peacefully, apart from some minor problems, which were mainly related to the absence of a name on the list.

"The process began in the early hours of the morning. So far it has been generally calm, with the exception of some minor problems, which are mainly related to the absence of a name on the list. This is due to the lack of renewal of membership cards. These are minor problems that do not disrupt the calm atmosphere that has characterized the process so far. It seems a considerable turnout for a day off, on a long weekend.

He emphasized that the process will be completed in all branches of the Democratic Party where the chairmen were in command due to the resignation of the chairmen for the primary processes and candidacy in the general elections.

He also underlined that a meeting of the DP leadership has been announced for Monday, where a decision will be made to begin the process according to the statute in all DP branches.
