When Edi Rama starts Sunday with 3 tricks...

DP MP Belind Këlliçi called the prime minister's speech a "deceptive monologue" and accused the government of not taking any concrete measures to protect citizens from price increases.

According to him, the price of oil has reached 2,000 lek per liter, without tax reductions like in countries in the region, the Port of Durres is costing the country and endangering Corridor 8, and Albania has become the "black sheep of Europe" due to corruption and its protection by vote.

Këlliçi also warned that these practices have contributed to the delay in the EU's report on Albania regarding the rule of law, while other countries in the region, such as Montenegro, are advancing faster in the integration process.

The opposition considers the situation a deep crisis and calls on citizens to express their position in the March 22 elections.

"Edi Rama started Sunday with some clear deceptions in that monologue that is the opposite of transparency.

First, the price of oil went up to 2,000 lek per liter and he only talks. It is true that there is an increase everywhere, but here in our country there are no measures like the governments of the region have done, which are reducing taxes and removing tariffs so that the economy of the citizens is not affected.

Secondly, his game with the Port of Durres is costing Albania dearly. By forgiving the historic port to a dubious business deal and stalling on the new project, Edi Rama is causing the country a huge cost and has put Corridor 8, with the main node starting from Durres, at risk. The bragging in front of the microphone is a lie, the deeds and acts are at least punishable.

Thirdly, it is completely untrue and malignant to say that we have become the black sheep because of the arrest measures. We have become the black sheep of Europe because of corruption. And worse, we are today the only black sheep on the continent that defends corruption by voting in the Assembly.

In monologue you can deny that this has consequences in terms of integration. In reality they have begun. The review of the report on Albania, regarding the chapter on the rule of law, has been postponed precisely by the banning of SPAK in the prime minister's anteroom. Meanwhile, Montenegro took another step towards the EU.

"Edi Rama can no longer cover up the reality of his corrupt and crime-related governance with deceptions like these. Citizens have become aware and are called to have their say on March 22, in our battle to get out of the serious crisis the country is in," Këlliçi emphasizes./ CNA
