Chapter 21 of negotiations with the EU/ Decision-making for Albania postponed,

Ambassadors of the 27 European Union member states gathered in Brussels unanimously adopted the common position on Chapter 21 on Trans-European Transport Networks.

The intergovernmental conference between Montenegro and the EU, which will mark the official closure of this chapter, is scheduled for March 17 in Brussels.

Montenegro has opened all 33 negotiation chapters in its negotiations with the EU and has so far closed 13 chapters.

For Albania, in the absence of consensus among EU member states, the decision-making on the IBAR interim report on judicial standards was postponed, without which the closure of the negotiation chapters cannot begin.

Regarding these developments, Commissioner Marta Kos will report on Monday afternoon to the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee after the meeting of European foreign ministers. Also on Wednesday, after the meeting of ministers for European affairs, European diplomacy chief Kaja Kallas will address MEPs in the afternoon session. /CNA
