Prime Minister Edi Rama said today at a press conference that the government has had a debate with some of its foreign partners regarding the approach to the government and the majority's handling of the issue of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
Rama reiterated that this approach is related to the fact that this is not a corruption case, as he expressed encouragement to continue investigations into what he called a thorn in the path of corruption.
"We are not facing a corruption issue, but an investigation, which can be investigated freely without the slightest obstacle. I encourage him to continue on the path of any thorn in the path of corruption. We have had a debate with some of our partners regarding the approach to this issue. There is no secret. In this task, I represent Albania and the interest of Albanians. I do not accept that someone looks down on me. Our discussions have been constructive. I believe that the statements made by some representatives are very clear, but it depends on how they are read," said Rama. /CNA
