Democratic MP Belind Këlliçi has shared a reaction to today's vote in the Assembly, where the majority rejected by 82 votes the SPAK request for Belinda Balluku's immunity.

Through a reaction on social media, Këlliçi states that this vote will remain the work of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the majority who raised the pro-corruption and anti-justice card.

"Edi Rama just raised the stakes in Parliament to create extra immunity from justice and protect corruption, marking an ugly and historic record.

The rejection of SPAK's request for the arrest of Belinda Balluku, accused of embezzling 1.1 billion euros, is the limit that Edi Rama sets for justice.

It is clear that the affairs for which Balluku is being investigated are affairs of Edi Rama, in which he is totally involved. Therefore, her protection became for the Prime Minister and the majority, more important than the integration of the country, than relations with Brussels, than equality before the law, than the fight against corruption.

With today's shameful vote, which will be remembered for a long time and will remain as the work of Edi Rama and all those MPs who raised the pro-corruption and anti-justice card, the red line was clearly crossed.

Albania did not pass the critical test.

Edi Rama showed citizens and international partners, by vote, by decision of Parliament, that he established his private sultanate today.

This regime of thieves established today in the Assembly will not have a long life because it has been erected against the values, principles, and aspirations of the majority of Albanians.

Albanians do not deserve to have a Republic of Corruption, where the abuse of public funds and Albanians' money is protected by vote.

Our country today is on the verge of a dangerous collapse. But, in the midst of his tyranny, Edi Rama will fall. Together with the citizens, we will not allow him to take Albania with him", - says Këlliçi./ CNA
