During the last few days, Lulzim Basha had a clash with the deputy of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi.

The latter denounced in the Assembly the floors benefited by his family members from the oligarchs, a matter which CNA had previously denounced as well .

After the clashes, Bardhi revealed that he has a video where Lulzim Basha meets a construction businessman and apologizes to him for the accusations he raised in public.

Basha, who seems to have "burned a fly under his hat", wants to condition the words of the deputies.

He declares that he will submit an amendment to the Assembly, where he will demand that the MPs be stripped of their immunity from prosecution by SPAK and that they be held accountable for the statements they make.

"Within this month, this amendment will be presented by the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party in the Assembly of Albania:

1. Remove the immunity of MPs from criminal prosecutions by SPAK.

2. The MP must bear responsibility for the statements he makes.

The MP should not have immunity when SPAK undertakes an investigation against him. Why does a farmer for a small loan go to the prosecutor without immunity, and even goes to detention, while a deputy or minister who is accused of stealing 5, 50 or 200 million euros cannot go without having his immunity removed with full ceremony? And in the meantime, he escapes because the whole world found out, as in the case of the former deputy prime minister of Edi Rama? Today, this is a source of obstacles to justice to bring corrupt officials, deputies, and ministers to justice.

Likewise, we will demand that the Deputy take responsibility for his statements. Two entities are not responsible today for what they say: the deputies of the Parliament of Albania and people with mental health cards. The Assembly Hall has turned into a hall of banalities. This has to end. Any denunciation of the MP from the Assembly hall should be a source for investigation by the prosecution. And the investigations will either bring to justice those whom the MP denounces, or bring the MP to justice as a liar, deceiver and slanderer. This is the only way to put an end to the politics of privileges for the rulers, to offer politics at the service of the people", writes Basha on social networks./ CNA
