Kosovo election results/ Srpska Lista and Nenad Rasic clash for a mandate

The leader of the Serbian List, Zlatan Elek, accused the leader of the For Freedom, Justice and Survival party, Nenad Rashic, of winning a seat in the Kosovo Assembly thanks to over 2,000 votes from Albanians.

Ellez emphasized that Raši?'s popularity has grown among Albanian voters since the regular parliamentary elections in February last year and asked the question: "Is it possible for Serbs to be represented by a man for whom Albanians vote?"

Rashic served two terms as Minister for Communities and Returns in the Kosovo executive led by Albin Kurti.

In the early parliamentary elections on June 7, according to preliminary results, the Serbian List won 43,071 votes, while the For Freedom, Justice and Survival party received 5,285 votes. Based on the calculation of regular votes, the Serbian List is expected to have nine out of ten seats reserved for the Serb community, while Raši?'s party is expected to have one seat in the Kosovo Assembly.

"The disastrous results in the Serbian areas, he didn't even manage to get 3,000 votes in the Serbian areas, he only won 2,795 votes. That's why his friends, Kurti and his associates, took care of it, and he got 2,257 votes in the Albanian areas," said Ellek.

On the other hand, Rasic, in a statement to Radio Free Europe, rejected these accusations, arguing that he received most of the votes he won from the Serb community, but that other minority communities have also given him their trust, as he served as Minister for Communities and Returns for two terms.

"Our base is the Serb vote. The continuity of the growth we have in the elections is noticeable, despite the pressures from the Serbian List. In Leposavic, this increase in votes is especially noticeable. In December 2025 we had about 830 votes, while now we have about 1,200, which means that our popularity has increased by about 40 percent," Rasic told Radio Free Europe.

He claimed that he did not receive votes from Albanians, but that he always receives votes from other minority communities, as a result of his position as Minister for Communities and Returns for the last three and a half years.

Supporting his claims, the president of the Serbian List, Zlatan Ellek, said that Rashic received votes in Prizren, Drenas, Gjakova, Podujevo, Suhareka, Malisheva, Hani i Elezit and South Mitrovica – cities in which, according to him, no members of the Serbian community live.

Ellek said that they have addressed the international community with the request that the votes of the Serbian community be taken into account and repeated the claim that the Serb List was "stolen", and that in this case it is a matter of "political engineering".

/REL
