The Foreign Ministry of Albania announces that so far no Albanian citizens have been injured in Israel, after the rocket attack by Hamas on Saturday morning.

"The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs is closely following the tense situation in Israel. According to the data so far, no Albanian citizen has been injured by these attacks. All Albanian citizens in Israel should follow the instructions of the local authorities and to contact the Albanian Embassy in Israel at the contact number: +972 54-4806601", says the reaction of the Albanian Foreign Ministry. 

In the early hours of Saturday, the Islamist movement Hamas launched a major attack on Israel by introducing gunmen and launching barrages of rockets from the Gaza Strip.

As warning sirens went off across southern and central Israel, including Jerusalem, the Israeli military said it was on a war footing as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called an emergency meeting of security officials.

Meanwhile, the images show that the citizens have also mobilized and are ready to fight. As can be seen in the photos shared in foreign media, there are armed girls and women who are ready to fight./ CNA
