Accident with one victim in Maliq/ Police: The car hit the cyclist and ran away

The police have issued an official announcement regarding the accident registered this evening in the village of Drithas i Maliqi.

Contrary to what was reported in the media, the Blues report that a vehicle hit the cyclist with the initials R.Sh. and not two brothers.

As a result, the 58-year-old man died, while the driver of the vehicle left the scene of the accident.

"On 29.11.2022, on the secondary road Drithas-Rëmbec, near the village of Drithas, a vehicle crashed into the cyclist R. Sh., 58 years old, a resident of Drithas, who died as a result. The driver of the vehicle left the scene of the accident.

The investigative group is working to identify and capture the driver of the vehicle and determine the causes of the accident," the police announced./ BA - CNA.al
