Video-Trafficking drugs from Albania to Italy/ Criminal group dismantled, 27

The Italian Anti-Mafia Department has today issued 27 arrest warrants against 21 Italian citizens and 6 Albanians accused of international drug trafficking and mafia organization.

The arrest warrant was issued almost 10 years after the execution of the "Federico II" operation.

The investigation of the Antimafia of Lecce belongs to the coded operation "Federico II" launched in August 2012 and which put 41 people under investigation.

Some of the accused are also accused of cooperation in mafia criminal activities.

The Italian authorities were able to unravel the criminal activity of two organizations in cooperation with each other; the mafia type that dealt with drug trafficking, threats and extortion and the Italian-Albanian group that trafficked heroin from Albania.

During the investigations, movable and immovable assets were also seized, for which the confiscation was ordered, namely 1 villa, 1 apartment, two current accounts, various businesses and 95% of the shares of a business.
