Vance warns: If Iran continues to attack ships, we will completely destroy them
United States Vice President JD Vance has stated that Iran...

It can be said that the last day of the NATO summit in Ankara, on July 8, began in a tense atmosphere.
Overnight, the United States resumed attacks on Iran, following a fragile ceasefire.
The conflict shook the entire Alliance, while US President Donald Trump criticized European allies for a lack of support and questioned their "loyalty."
At a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on July 8, Trump again criticized European countries, accusing them of delaying or obstructing the use of their bases by US aircraft during the attacks on Iran.
He called the Iranian regime a "liar" and "scum", and added that the deal with it "is over".
In addition, he also attacked Spain - a country that publicly criticized the war and spends less on defense than NATO targets - hinting that a trade embargo could be imposed on Madrid.
Trump also reiterated the intention he expressed earlier this year to take control of the Danish territory of Greenland.
From the footage before entering the hall, it seemed as if the European leaders were entering the meeting with concern, expecting difficult developments.
However, the atmosphere inside the hall was completely different.
NATO diplomats, who spoke to Radio Free Europe on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly, said the US president was in a good mood and appeared much more diplomatic.
According to them, he did not repeat his statements about Spain, Greenland or Iran to the other 31 leaders.
After the meeting, Trump declared that there was "extraordinary unity" at the summit, while NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte described the summit in Ankara as "an extraordinary success," with "a strong sense of unity" among the allies.
As for Iran, the summit's final statement, adopted by all leaders, emphasizes that "Iran must never possess nuclear weapons" and reiterates the call for Tehran to fully respect freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite Washington's dissatisfaction with the reluctance of some European countries to support the US in the conflict with Iran, Rutte noted that, in recent months, US forces have carried out over 5,000 military flights from air bases in Europe.
Another topic that dominated the summit was the level of defense spending by European countries and Canada - an issue that was constantly at the center of criticism from the White House and Trump himself.
Ky ishte aspekti premtues i samitit.
When Trump said that Putin had proposed a meeting in Moscow to discuss ending the war, Zelensky responded ironically that traveling there would be dangerous, as many Ukrainian drones fly over the city.
The next summit in Tirana?
It was perhaps not the most important part of the Ankara Declaration, but it was certainly one of the most unusual.
The final statements of NATO summits usually conclude with the announcement of where the next summit will be held.
But this time, the document was content with just the sentence: “We look forward to our next meeting.” No other details.
At last year's summit in The Hague, it was decided that the next summit would be held in Turkey, and after that it would be Albania's turn.
NATO Secretary General Rutte confirmed this at the closing press conference, saying: "The next summit will be held in Albania. This was the decision taken in The Hague. Now we need to decide on the exact date."
But, there are two reasons why this still remains unclear.
The first is related to dissatisfaction within the Alliance, as some countries believe that a country that has recently fallen again below the 2% of Gross Domestic Product threshold for defense spending should not host a NATO summit.
Tirana has promised to soon approve a budget that foresees increased investments in defense.
The second reason is that some member countries want to restore the practice of holding NATO summits every two years, arguing that it is difficult to reach important political decisions every year.
At the moment, it is known that the next summit will be held in Albania. However, it remains unclear whether it will take place in the summer of 2027, in the fall of that year, or be postponed to 2028. /REL
