Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine, 3 killed

Russia attacked a village in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region on Thursday, killing three people and wounding four others, including a child, officials said.

The village of Rozkishne, about 25 kilometers from the front line, was the target of the attacks, regional prosecutors said on Telegram.

According to initial reports, Russian troops used the Smerch system to carry out attacks with cluster munitions, they said.

Among the wounded is a 14-year-old boy, who was taken to the hospital.

Four houses, cars and a gas pipeline were damaged during the attack, they said.

Russia carried out missile and drone strikes overnight, damaging energy infrastructure in four regions, national energy company Ukrenerho said on June 20.

In addition to Donetsk, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions were also attacked.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia attacked Ukraine on June 20 with nine missiles and 27 drones.

The Ukrainian army said it shot down all the drones and five missiles./ REL
