Today, the Special Prosecutor's Office arrested 8 officials in connection with the sterilization concession, among them former deputy minister Klodian Rrjepaj and businessman Ilir Rrapaj.

For this matter, the Court has asked SPAK to also investigate former ministers Ilir Beqaj and Shkëlqim Cani.

But let's go back in time, to the time when Prime Minister Edi Rama defended "with his nails" the sterilization concession of 100 million euros.

In an interview on the show "The Unexposed", almost 6 years ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama defended the 100 million euro concession in front of the journalist Ylli Rakipi.

Rakipi expressed his concern regarding the fact that this concession of 100 million euros was given to an immigrant who had a company with one employee with 1500 euros of capital, mentioning Ilir Rrapaj.

"We have the sterilization, the 100 million dollar concession was given to an emigrant Ilir Rrapaj with a company with one employee and only 1500 euros of capital. I'll give you more, 150 thousand euros!!!" addressed Rama Rakipi, while the government's number one defended with "flesh and soul" the fact that they had created the perfect sterilization system and that for him it was not important the man who represented the company, but the system .
