Last evening started the Beer Festival in the city of Korça, which will continue for 4 consecutive nights.

The mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, spoke about the grand celebration this Thursday, who showed the innovations of this year.

" The 17th edition of the Beer Festival in Korça started yesterday. It is a celebration that has a long history already, one of the biggest events, I would say the biggest summer event in Albania.

The novelty of this year is undoubtedly the large number of well-known singers, so the artistic program is bigger and better than other years and definitely then the participation of many beer companies, since we are talking about a beer festival, but also of companies that sell other local products.

So, the whole size of the party, and the atmosphere that is created make this party a very special and spectacular event ", he said to the media.

Filo also focused on the impact that the Beer Festival has brought to the Albanian economy with the influx of tourists who have "landed" in Korçë.

" The Beer Festival has a very big impact on the local economy of the city of Korça and beyond. It is a holiday which brings a large number of visitors, as participants in this holiday are not only the residents of Korça, but also many people who come because of the holiday. And who definitely spends, suffice it to say that all the hotels in the city of Korça, in the tourist villages of Korça up to the neighboring towns are filled with visitors who participate in the Beer Festival. Apart from the hotels, it is definitely the whole part of the economy, the consumption they do, the visit they make to the city. So, it is a celebration that enlivens the whole city and has a great economic impact ", stressed the mayor of Korça.

He also mentioned the fact that all the hotels in Korça and the surrounding areas are booked and no longer have empty rooms due to the influx of tourists.

Filo also showed the changes that will be made next year, which are mainly related to the change of the place where the party will be held.

" We are thinking of making some changes for the next period, which we think are mainly related to the place where the party is organized. The place where we have organized it in recent years, at the new Bus Terminal, is insufficient to accommodate all the large number of participants of this party, therefore we are thinking of looking at other alternatives and one of them can be the project of building a large center of events and night life in the southern part of the city along the Korçë-Ersekë road, where the fish tanks are located", emphasized the mayor of Korçë./ CNA
