Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has sent a message to the citizens of the country to increase cooperation with the State Police.

Balla says that the citizens are the irreplaceable partners of the State Police in the protection of the country and of every individual, from any type of illegality, from corruption and organized crime, to ordinary crime and to crime against public and private property.

He says that every citizen's complaint will be followed carefully.

"Dear citizens, from every part of Albania. You are not only the reason why the State Police exists, but you are also our irreplaceable partners in protecting the country and every individual, from all types of illegality, from corruption and organized crime to ordinary crime and crime against public property and private. The deaf ear and the blind eye of a policeman, the complicit silence of the powerful in the neighborhood and the non-reaction of the law enforcement forces to the citizens' denunciations, are an alignment of the police against them, against the state. Therefore, every complaint of yours, every denunciation is being followed very carefully, because for me each of them is a stone in the great wall of trust that must be rebuilt for the State Police.

I thank dozens of citizens who have reported many cases or submitted complaints for suspected illegal actions or that contradict the Code of Ethics in the State Police. In a short time, based on these reports/complaints, we have arrested police officers, as well as expelled for violating ethical norms."/ CNA
