Today the Supreme Court will make a decision on the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj. The hearing will take place at 12:00.

Mayor Veliaj, arrested in 9 cases of corruption, on charges of laundering the proceeds of crime, introducing prohibited items into detention cells, refusing to declare, failing to declare, concealing or falsely declaring assets, private interests of elected officials and public servants or any other person who has a legal obligation to declare, has requested a change in the security measure.

For some time now, the media that serve as Veliaj's tool have launched their campaign, a strategy also warned by CNA, to spread propaganda for Veliaj, who is facing a series of charges for several serious criminal offenses.
