Action to free public spaces in Pogradec/Hafesllari: They will face fines

This Monday, the campaign to free up public spaces occupied mainly by businesses began in many cities.

The Director of the Territory Protection Agency of the Municipality of Pogradec, Markel Hafesllari, announced that the action will be continuous.

He said that this action will extend to the entire city of Pogradec, including the Tushemisht area and the promenade.

Hafesllari emphasized that initially only businesses without a permit are being checked, but all will be verified, even those with permits. Anyone who has violated the conditions of the permit will face administrative measures up to a decision to demolish it by the IMT.

"The Territory Protection Agency has undertaken an action to clear public spaces throughout the city. This will be an ongoing action. We ask all citizens to understand us and clear public spaces, otherwise administrative measures will be taken by the Municipal Police."

This monitoring will continue throughout the tourist season, starting from "Europa" Square and throughout the city of Pogradec.

A warning was left, they did not remove the objects themselves, so the Municipal Police intervened in cooperation with the Inspectorate to free up space in "Europa" Square. From the verifications of the Municipal Police, it turns out that they did not have the relevant permits, so the intervention was carried out to remove the tables and umbrellas.

This action will extend to the entire city of Pogradec, including the Tushemisht area and the promenade. Initially, only businesses without a permit are being checked, but all will be verified, even those with a permit. Anyone who has violated the conditions of the permit will face administrative measures up to a decision for demolition by the IMT."/ CNA
