Measures for the tourist season/ Controls for noise pollution on Shengjin beach

Lezha Police continue to conduct noise pollution checks, as part of measures for the summer tourist season.

In implementation of the Plan of Measures to guarantee public order and safety during the tourist season, the public safety structures of the Lezha Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Lezha Police Commissariat, have conducted intensive controls in the tourist area of ??Shëngjin, with a focus on respecting legal norms for noise pollution.

Goal: ensuring a peaceful and safe environment for vacationers and residents.

Controls have also been extended to other tourist and frequented areas, not just along the coastline.

Noise measurements were carried out in open and closed environments, with certified equipment, according to standardized procedures, in accordance with:

Law No. 9774, dated 12.07.2007 “On the management of noise in the environment”, as amended;

Joint Instruction No. 02, dated 15.11.2023, of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism.

All controlled subjects have resulted within the permitted noise limits.

Likewise, compliance with the permitted time slot for music in outdoor environments was verified: from 11:00 to 24:00, in accordance with the acts in force for tourist and residential areas.

Lezha Police will continue with continuous checks throughout the territory of the Shëngjin administrative unit and in other tourist areas of the district. /CNA
