The new director of Drevona Prison has been appointed and he is Laurent Nake. He resigned from the same position in February 2024, after serving as director for a period of about four months.
The appointment comes after the dismissal of director Fatjon Fasho yesterday.
Yesterday, the police chief of the Drenova Prison was also dismissed, and is reportedly under criminal prosecution.
Artan Koçibelli has been appointed in his place.
The arrests come just a few days after the raid carried out at Drenova prison, where four iPhone-type mobile phones were found.
The phones belonged to Orgest Bilbili, Anterio Kaloshi and Laert Haxhiu./CNA
