Refusal to approve the Serbian genocide/ Hasimja: SP is reluctant not to damage

Ermal Hasimja said today that the majority's refusal to approve the genocide in Kosovo is a decision not to damage relations with Serbia.

Invited to News24, Hasimja, on the other hand, described the opposition's proposal as a game and added that they knew that the majority would not vote for the resolution. He also stated that the SP should have justified its decision not to approve the resolution.

"The left in power is reluctant to blow up the waters with Serbia, which it considers a partner in the Balkans. Even the DP has had the opportunity to do many things, resolutions of this type have been adopted. There is one thing to be honest with the left as well. When you want a resolution to be implemented, it is usually discussed in parliament, a joint resolution is brought, considered with joint authorship and approved.

The game was that we are putting you before an obligation, a resolution that we know you will not vote for and we come out a little more patriotic than you. The concern that the majority has had to not create any kind of reaction from the international community, tries to relativize the situation by presenting a conflict between the two parties, while we know that what happened in Kosovo was an attack, a genocide. They have had the same dilemma in Kosovo, Albin Kurti has too, but the SP should explain it and not by closing its mouth, not by remaining silent," said Hasimja. /CNA
