Dritan Prençi sleeps over the Tirana incinerator file, the leader of the

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi, at today's meeting of the Laws Committee, asked the head of the High Prosecutorial Council, Mirela Bogdani, whether she had requested information on what stage the investigations into the Tirana incinerator case are at and why they are being prolonged.  

Bogdani did not provide any comments on the question in question but elaborated on the answers to issues exhausted earlier during her speech.

Këlliçi also asked the head of the KLP about the intimidation of special prosecutors in the session of February 12 of this year, where the assessment of the security measure for the former mayor of Tirana at the GJKKO was made. The MP asked whether there was an analysis or decision-making to prevent these events.

"We have had no reaction or information. We have only had a public stance on the prosecutor who was investigating, not on other cases. We were not aware," Bogdani said briefly.

Returning to the Tirana Incinerator case, the prosecutor in the case, Dritan Prençi, seems to have turned off the lights and put the file in darkness. So far, several officials have been taken under investigation, but the main ones responsible remain untouched. /CNA
