The President of the High Prosecutorial Council, Mirela Bogdani, presented today the report on the institution's activities for 2024.

In her speech, Bogdani emphasized that the KLP is not an individual body, but a collegial one.

Bogdani stated that at the moment, no large number of stock files has been identified, while also focusing on the request for the digitalization of work processes.

"The evaluation process is not a simple evaluation. Information about the files is collected and then processed. After the process is concluded, the analytical report is reviewed in the presence of the prosecutor. There are findings that require debate. We are not an individual body, but a collegial one. Regarding the stock of files, we have tried to address it through cooperation with assistance projects.

There is not as large a stock as was ascertained. Regarding the relationship with the Supreme Court of Justice and other institutions, relations have intensified. We have held joint meetings. A third meeting will be held in December. They will be at the level of members, commissions, but also staff. To establish new bridges of cooperation. We had a kind of challenge on how to resolve the vacancies, because they are divided into permanent and temporary. The number of temporary vacancies is 40. It was not 100% up to the Supreme Court to decide.

"Regarding the digitalization of processes, since we do not have classified information that needs to be passed on to other processes, the information is transparent and it has been requested that a digital archive be created for all work evidence and for all links," Bogdani said./CNA
