The Audiovisual Media Authority reported yesterday to the Laws Committee on its activities for 2024.

The head of the AMA, Armela Krasniqi, stated that none of the Authority's decisions in 4 years has been attacked as politically influenced.

Further, Krasniqi said that in 11 electoral processes conducted, none of the dates proposed by AMA to the CEC have been contested.

Regarding the institution's financing, Krasniqi said that AMA is self-financing and does not depend on the state or the mood of the finance minister.

" None of the AMA's decisions in 4 years has been attacked as politically influenced. In 11 electoral processes, all the dates that AMA has suggested to the CEC, none have been contested. There have never been claims of political influence in what the AMA board does. Financially, we do not depend on the state or the mood of the finance minister. We are self-financing.

"As for public advertising, in the criteria of the law we only define the volume of advertising without distinguishing whether it is public or private ," said Krasniqi./CNA
