Arbër Veliaj today has a portfolio of over 50% of the advertising market in Albania, is a partner of a large French company, "Publis", where according to CNA sources, the large French company through its branch in Serbia has become a partner the company of the brother of Erion Veliaj, the mayor of Tirana.

How did the brother's company develop once Veliaj became mayor?

It is enough to look at "Open Corporates", a serious site supported and financed by foreign donors that has data on private companies.

The company "Gogel", which was founded in 2009, was bought by Arbër Veliaj in 2011 and from 2011 to 2015, when Erion Veliaj became the mayor of Tirana, the profits of this company and the turnover are very small.

According to the data of "Opens Corporates", the profit before tax in 2009 was over 10 million old lek (1 million new lek), in 2011 it was 10 million lek and in 2015 the profit is 6-fold. In 2016 it is somewhere around 40 million ALL and then it goes to 100 million ALL, it goes to 410 million ALL, it goes to about 440 million, it goes to over 520 million, it goes to 300 million and in 2022, which is the last data it is somewhere around 250 million (there are also details of the fact, high turnover and low profit).

Collecting the data, it turns out that Arbër Veliaj before tax from 2015, when his brother Erion Veliaj became mayor until 2022, has declared 2.1 billion ALL, only profit.

Let's see according to the second table from the data of "Open Corporates" the annual turnover of the company "Gogel", whose 100% shareholder is the company "Gogel Holding", whose owner is Arbër Veliajn.

So, according to the data, it turns out that from 2015, when Erion Veliaj took over the Municipality of Tirana, the company began to increase turnover up to 10-fold or 15 times more. If in 2014 it circulated only 240 million old ALL, in 2018 the company manages to circulate almost 3.3 billion ALL. There is the same turnover in 2020, but it is about 3.4 billion ALL.

The turnover of this company goes to several tens of millions of euros in total from 2015 onwards, but what stands out comparing the turnover of the company with the profit has to do with the fact that in the years when the company had less turnover, in 2015 , the profit was even bigger, but its profit, even though the turnover has increased and the income is high, decreases to about 7% in 2022, but we have to consider that it is 7, 10 or 15% profit in 4 -The last 5 years, which are profits over a turnover of 3.2 -3.4 billion ALL.

Thus, a company with 50 million, after the brother becomes mayor, has a new performance and makes a turnover of 3.4 billion lek, a company that has a profit of only 10 million lek goes and registers a profit of 520 million lek and this is the company "Gogel" of Arbë Veliajt.

CNA is collecting indisputable facts and evidence about how the money of big companies and corporations in Albania is distributed, which are managed by Arbër Veliaj, taking money and funds mainly to the media of power, to the media paid by the incinerator affair, to the propaganda of power.

Media buying

Not only public money is used with "5D" and corruption, but private money is also taken and diverted to the mayor's brother to pay the media for propaganda. Arbër Veliaj has, not a few, but almost most of the leading companies and according to CNA data he controls more than 50% of the advertising market in Albania. (read here)
