The National Union of the Integration of Political Prisoners and Persecuted has reacted to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Përmet Congress.

The Union expresses deep indignation towards the majority for the commemoration of a congress, which according to them is dictatorial.

The statement emphasizes that this celebration is a flagrant violation of the Constitution, as well as a national insult to the national flag and to the families of the persecuted.

The National Union of the Integration of Political Prisoners and Persecuted is following the political situation in the country with great attention and wisdom and expresses its deep indignation towards the current political majority for the political actions it is taking in the commemoration of a dictatorial congress such as the May 24 congress of Përmet !

Today, the phalanxes of the Enverist dictatorship, led by the hybrids of the dictatorship, violating the Constitution, which condemned the constitution of the dictatorship and May 24, 1944, and turned Albania into a democratic system. They celebrated this date, a symbol of Stalinist Enverism.

The Prime Minister should issue the order of your dismissal for the hatred you have towards Albanians by manifesting in favor of communist ideological congresses and poisoning Albanian society with ideological celebrations outside the constitution.

Your infamous Congress continued the Stalinist ideology by condemning American democracy, and removing Albania from the Western countries and making it part of the Serbian-Russian Slavism. That congress you celebrated today waged civil war against the north by sending divisions to suppress and rule. That congress finally established the Stalinist dictatorship, bringing great human losses to Albania. May 24 is one of the blackest days for the Albanian people.

That congress that you celebrated 34 years ago today has over 6,000 Albanians who killed and disappeared your corpses. That Congress imprisoned 36,000 Albanians without fault and shot more than 1,000 women at your age. He destroyed over 100,000 families with deportations.

We address you publicly, who gives you the right to insult the Albanians who suffered 914,000 years of political imprisonment from the ideology of that congress.

Who gives you the right to touch our wounds that are still bleeding, and our mothers have tears that have not dried from that congress of thugs who kill innocent Albanians.

We ask that the President, the Speaker of the Parliament, the Prime Minister and the political forces condemn this celebration of the congress of the dictatorship and demand the dismissal of the organizers from the leadership positions, they apologize to the Albanian families who endured the sufferings of the dictatorship.

Government gentlemen, if you do not take measures and allow the disruption of the balance of society, you will be guilty before the nation and history.

It is time for all anti-communist forces, religious institutions, parties, intellectuals with liberal thinking, progressive media, to react unitedly to this effort full of perverted morality that is seeking to be served and imposed on the new generation. The helmeting of the new generation with the primitive and reactionary ideology that glorifies the criminal and crime constitutes the most shameful and unacceptable act for a democratic society.

Albanian society needs national reconciliation and not hatred and division.. We have suffered a lot from hatred!
