SPAK, the most reliable institution

In the last measurements of the Barometer in Euronews Albania in the period 4-14 May 2024, Albanian institutions have repeatedly been tested for the credibility they have with the citizens. Considering the dynamics in the current Albanian political system, the special focus of the Barometer has been SPAK.

On a scale from 0-10, citizens have been invited to indicate whether or not they trust a group of main institutions that have responsibility and dictate the reality in the country.

In a list of 15 institutions in Albania (including international representation) the US Embassy and EU Commission Delegation, OSCE, SPAK, the president's institution, government, police, local government, religious representatives, media, civil society, judiciary, opposition, parliament and political parties, SPAK continues to be the first of the Albanian institutions with the highest level of reliability compared to all other Albanian institutions.

SPAK, the most reliable institution

Out of 1000 interviewed face to face by Barometer, 32% of them have expressed trust in SPAK, ranking it as the most reliable institution among Albanian institutions. Ranked at the top of the list, as in the previous measurements, international representations continue to remain, headed by the US Embassy in Tirana with 40.5% trust from Albanian citizens and then by the Delegation of the EU Commission with 35.8% trust.

This is a repeated measurement of the Barometer on the same topic, with the same questions and with the same measurement scale from November 2022 until today. In four different measurements, November 2022, November 2023, February 2024, and today, SPAK remains for 2024 the most reliable Albanian institution in the country. In November 2022, the reliability towards SPAK was (14.2%), in November 2023 it was (26.16%), in February 2024 (33.6%) and May 2024 (32%)./ Euronews Albania
