Action against Berisha/Gjokutaj: Lajthitje of SPAK, his mandate has not ended

The lawyer of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Genc Gjokutaj, said in a press conference that it is a shame that SPAK did not accept the request for him to appear in the Assembly. 

He explained that Berisha's mandate has not ended because the cases when his mandate ends are defined in the Constitution.

Gjokutaj underlined that Berisha should go and appear in the plenary sessions. 

"SPAK did not accept Berisha's request to appear in the Assembly with one deviation. SPAK compares Berisha's request to going to a regular job. Berisha's mandate does not expire because the cases when his mandate expires are defined in the Constitution. In the sessions we go to, it is an anti-legal, anti-constitutional situation. We ask for another thing, but because of the political influence that court has, a measure of invalid from the procedural point of view. The measure contrary to the constitution makes that measure invalid", said Gjokutaj./ CNA
