"Where are the compensations?"/ Debate at the Municipal Council

The Municipal Council meeting in the Municipality of Maliq is taking place outside the agenda, organized to discuss the situation created by the floods of November 2025.

Also present at the meeting are farmers from this municipality who are debating with the leaders of this municipality regarding the damage caused by the first floods.

According to them, the number of farmers affected is large and the damage is very significant in terms of agricultural products that have been destroyed.

Julian Guri, one of the potential farmers in the territory of the Maliq municipality, calls on farmers to resist.

"No one should move from here, we want concrete answers, let whoever wants come, what will be done. Where are the compensations?" - says the farmer.

At the end of the meeting, it is expected to be seen what will be decided on this issue.

"Come on, get us out with the police because we're not leaving here. No one will move from here, notify whoever you want, we want concrete answers. It's been a month and a half since I notified you, you've also measured the land, but where are the compensations? Will they be given to us or not so that we know to continue with the protests because there is no other way," said one of the farmers, Julian Guri./ CNA
