Pogradec/ Landslides and snowfall continue to create problems, some areas

In the Municipality of Pogradec, the main problem continues to be landslides, which have been identified in several areas. Yesterday, engineers from the Geological Service conducted inspections in the problematic areas, including the villages of Cërrava and Dardhas, where several families have been evacuated, as well as in the area of ??the Stropckë reservoir. Technical reports are awaited to determine the necessary interventions.

In the Trebinje Administrative Unit, the Dunicë road remains blocked due to a large landslide, which is expected to be inspected today by specialists. Meanwhile, the road to the village of Malinë is non-functional and, despite the provision of vehicles by the municipality, intervention is not possible at the moment due to weather conditions.

In the Proptisht Administrative Unit, the Zall–Torra road continues to be blocked, while in the village of Verrri a landslide that occurred about 8 years ago has been reactivated. Rivers are flowing normally and no problems have been reported.

No new problems are reported from other municipalities in the region, while civil emergency structures continue to monitor the situation.

The situation on the road axes

According to the ARRSH Region Center-East, there was snowfall on several axes during the night, especially in Boboshticë-Dardhe, Maliq-Kufi Gramsh and Libonik-Rëmbec-Plasë. Road cleaning and salting are being carried out, while traffic continues normally with winter tires.

Electricity situation

OSSHEE Korça Region reports that some rural areas are partially without electricity due to defects in the medium voltage network. 6 operational groups are on the ground to repair the defects, while the power supply to facilities of special importance is guaranteed. The situation remains under constant monitoring by the responsible structures./ CNA
