"1.5 billion euros investment in the energy sector"/ Balluku reveals

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, at a conference on the Tropoja solar park, stated that the new energy scheme will be intensified in new energy sources such as solar panels.

Balluku emphasized that 1.5 billion euros have been invested in the renewable solar and wind energy sector.

The government's number two underlined that there is a portfolio of projects that are expected to advance the developments of the energy sector, improve energy production, bring technology and generate income.

Among other things, the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy stated that Albania is investing in transmission lines with neighboring countries and that the government is determined to continue supporting private investments, now not with plans on paper, but with concrete projects on the ground.

"No longer dependent on weather conditions, no longer dependent on cascades, but a new energy scheme that will intensify in new energy sources such as solar panels. 1.5 billion euros have been invested in the renewable energy sector, such as solar and wind energy.

We have a portfolio of projects that is expected to drive the development of the sector forward.

Only in solar energy has it moved from pilot projects to advanced stages of development.

In wind energy, Albania is entering the application of projects, this is a guarantee and comes based on a strategy to build such projects that require a long time of implementation and study, but that have an extraordinary impact on a country's economy.

The projects under development are a clear example of the government's approach to renewable energy. With nearly 6 gigawatts and a portfolio of projects, these projects reduce imports, improve energy production, introduce technology and generate revenue.

Albania is investing in transmission lines, which are already connected to all our neighbors. The connection with North Macedonia is being completed, and Albania is one of the best countries in terms of interconnections with other countries.

The government is determined to continue supporting private investment. We are no longer talking about plans on paper, but about customers and concrete projects on the ground.

"The data shows concrete and territorial results. The collection level is 100%, while energy production in the country shows growth," Balluku said./ CNA
