The US Department of State has documented in its latest report the massive dismissals in RTSH.

DASH says that after the change of senior managers, unjustified dismissals were made at Radio Television Albanian.

For this, the US Department of State refers to media reports.

One of the media that reported on the mass dismissal of Alfred Peza, the general director of RTSH, was CNA.

Peza has dismissed 125 employees without any motivation, while others, according to the denunciations, have resigned due to the pressure exerted on them.

Regarding the dismissals, some employees saw it as reasonable to confront them in court, while over 20 others filed a lawsuit in SPAK.

As CNA has also reported, the dismissed employees accuse Peza of breaching contracts and dismissals in violation of the law.

According to them, the dismissals were carried out without any legal basis and in violation of the Labor Code.

About the layoffs, former employees told CNA about two months ago that they would notify the embassies, the European Union and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

On the other hand, the opposition has also requested that a hearing be held with Alfred Peza, for dismissals without motivation in RTSH, in the Commission for Education and Public Information Media.

Also, the Media Commission requested the establishment of an Investigative Commission on Peza, but these requests were not approved./ CNA
